ICAPE Group Places First Production Order for Soluboard® – A Major Leap Toward Sustainable PCB Manufacturing
We’re thrilled to announce a defining milestone in our journey to make electronics more sustainable: ICAPE Group has placed its first production order for Soluboard®, marking the official start of our commercial manufacturing partnership.
This isn’t just an order – it’s a vote of confidence, a statement of intent, and the tangible beginning of a shared mission to reshape the electronics industry.

Soluboard® enters production: ICAPE Group places its first order, turning a shared sustainability vision into reality.
From Partnership to Production
In late 2024, ICAPE Group – a global leader in printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing – made a strategic minority investment in Jiva Materials. But beyond financial backing, they committed to something more powerful: action.
And now, with their first Soluboard® production order, ICAPE has turned that commitment into reality.
This order represents:
-
The industrial validation of Soluboard® as a next-generation PCB material.
-
A major step toward eco-conscious electronics production across Europe.
-
A deepening of our partnership, built not only on shared vision, but real-world execution.
What Makes Soluboard® Different?
Soluboard® is the world’s first fully biodegradable PCB substrate, designed to dissolve in water at the end of its lifecycle. By eliminating the use of glass fibre and toxic epoxy resins, it enables easier recycling and significantly reduces the environmental footprint of electronic devices.
Now, thanks to ICAPE’s industrial capabilities and this first production run, Soluboard® is moving from innovation to implementation entering real-world applications ranging from pilot-scale customer trials to commercial eco-electronic products.
This milestone represents more than just manufacturing progress. It reflects Jiva and ICAPE’s shared commitment to:
- Reduce global e-waste and carbon emissions
-
Build sustainable electronics supply chains in Europe
-
Show that climate tech and commercial scale can coexist
Voices from the Front Line
Steve Driver, CEO of Jiva Materials, shared:
“This first order is a true milestone. ICAPE’s belief in Soluboard® has been strong from day one, and now we’re turning that belief into impact. Together, we’re taking the first real steps toward cleaner, greener electronics.”
Yann Duigou, CEO of ICAPE Group, commented:
“Our partnership with Jiva is built on action. This first order is the beginning of something much bigger – our joint commitment to innovation, sustainability, and industrial excellence across Europe.”
Why This Moment Matters
-
Soluboard® is no longer a prototype – it’s in production.
-
ICAPE is not just an investor –they are now a flagship customer.
-
The future of electronics can be sustainable – and it starts now.
Looking Ahead
This production order represents more than just product on a line. It’s a signal that the electronics industry is ready for change, and that climate innovation can – and will – scale.
To the teams at ICAPE and Jiva: thank you for your dedication, resilience, and belief in something better.
We’re just getting started.
